Years ago I was given some lovely heirloom onions. I kept them safe (somehow) and they are still alive. They were the inspiration for my herb garden on my new deck. For years I have wanted a variety of fresh herbs right outside my kitchen door.
Ernie's Onions and chives
2 Kinds of Lavender
Several kinds of lettuce, lemon verbena, and endive
Golden oregano, oregano, and lime thyme
Rosemary, garlic chives, thai basil (that I am pretty sure is not going to make it), cilantro, and plain italian parsley
Strawberries, several kinds of sage, and um...stuff I can't remember...good thing they are all marked with cool copper tags!
Tarragon and margoram
Thyme, mint, orange mint, and sort of unhappy dill

Its too cold here to put the garden in yet - May long weekend. Your pictures made me eager to get going.... I too love lettuces, lavender and assorted greenery. :)
